Wild Florida Adventures is a member of the American Canoe Association, Florida Trail Association, Society for Ethical Ecotourism--Southwest Florida Chapter, Pure Water Wilderness, Original Florida, Cedar Key Chamber of Commerce, and the Suwannee Chamber of Commerce.
I'm a graduate of the Florida Master Naturalist program and have completed the advanced wilderness first aid course offered by the Univ. of Fla. I am a former employee and teaching assistant at the Santa Fe Community College Teaching Zoo working with the endangered and now extinct Dusky Seaside Sparrow. I have also worked for the St. Augustine Alligator Farm as a presenter of animal education programs, in addition to prior experience as a Naturalist working for the City of Gainesville at Morningside Nature Center and Bivens Arm Nature Park. I am currently involved as a volunteer docent at the Florida Museum of Natural History assisting with outdoor programs for children grades preschool through 4th grade. I will also be developing nature programs and day hikes in the area of north central Florida that will hopefully be of interest to people that enjoy the outdoors. I am a member of the Gainesville Orchid Society, Florida Trail Association, and a life member of Cuong Nhu Oriental Martial Arts. And last but not least, I'm an alumnus of the University of Florida with a BA in Anthropology with extensive field work as an archaeological field assistant working on projects for the Florida Museum of Natural History and the American Museum of Natural History (New York, NY.) in both Florida and the coastal region of Georgia, as well as an A.C.A. Certified Kayak Instructor. Brack |
